Abel Groups Inc. was founded with one goal in mind: to bring the kingdom of heaven to earth through the construction industry. Our founders, Joshua and Pamla Vandusseldorp, had always seen the bad reputation the construction industry carried, and they believed that with the help of Jesus and a few good guys, they could change that.

Today, that vision lives out through the companies under the Abel Groups family:

Abel Electric handles commercial, industrial and residential electrical work across Alabama and Georgia, built on honesty, quality and care on every job.

Abel Builders brings that same standard to construction, building custom homes the right way.

Abel Ministries is the heart behind it all, pouring into the men on our crews and the customers and communities we serve.

Ever since that day all those years ago, Abel has seen tremendous growth. We've gone from wiring around 500 houses a year to wiring schools, restaurants and shopping centers, and today our family has grown to around 150 employees. Along the way, we've seen men grow on the job, customers impacted and lives changed.

When you work with Abel, you're doing more than hiring a contractor. You're helping grow the kingdom of God!

Colossians 3:23 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters”
